Hi Friends, happy Friday!

I hope you had a great week weekend and a great week.

Last week we had two days off for my boys from daycare, so my husband stayed home from work and we went to the beach, it was amazing and very relaxing, but the best thing is that the boys played together in the sand and in the ocean, so they just required supervision, not involvement from our side. Actually when I go to the beach I transform in a very lazy person, I just want to look around, supervise my kids and enjoy the sun and the ocean (I just look at it, I don`t swim because it is too cold for me, don`t blame me, I am Italian and I am used to a much warmer ocean!).

We did have a great weekend, we spent Saturday with friends, the kids swam in a pond and played a lot with water and we relaxed (as much as we could since we always had to keep an eye on the kids and the crazy games that they invented!). On Sunday we decided to go to Boston, we walked near the ocean and then went downtown and got a slushi from a food truck, the kids were very excited. The weather was beautiful, the kids did not complain too much and we had such a nice time! We came back home just in time before it started raining, but we were all very happy!

We did actually have a very nice weekend last week, we met with two couples of Italian friends and their kids at our house. I was very happy to have the possibility to chat with some adults other than my husband and to see that the kids were happy to play together. They are close in age, so they played very well in the pool, on the trampoline and on the inflatables that we put in our yard. The kids also begged us to roast some marshmallows, so they did it and loved eating them together making a giant mess! On Sunday we had a very low key day, in the morning we got some croissants and coffee and enjoyed them in the town hall park, it was a beautiful day and we loved it! After we got home, the kids played nicely for more than an hour in the pool in our yard and I even had the opportunity to talk to my husband, which is not something that happens frequently when the kids are around!

I hope you had a great weekend and week. I am sorry I did not publish my post last week, but the time slipped away from me and before I even realized it, it was Friday.

So, here is what happened to us in the last two weeks:

Two weeks ago we had a nice trip to New Hampshire to visit our good friends who got two beautiful kittens, the kids enjoyed playing with them! We also went raspberry and blueberry picking, we got a lot of good fruit and sweated a lot because it was very hot! It was a fun weekend. Last week went by so fast: Aurora was home with me, so we played a lot together, but I was also planning on cleaning and organizing some parts of my house. It did not go as I expected, but I am happy to report that I was able to clean and reorganize the fridge and freezer! I get very happy and weirdly satisfied when I am able to clean the corners of my house that I forgot about! My next step is the kitchen cabinets!

Welcome back and happy Friday! I hope you had a nice week.
My kids went back to school last Monday and Aurora had a horse riding camp, so I spent my mornings by myself and it was glorious! I can`t say I got a lot of stuff done, because I had errands to do and appointments every day, but when I was home I was able to work a little and then tackle some projects that I couldn`t do when the kids were home. Being able to sit at my desk and not being interrupted a thousand times was kind of weird, but I enjoyed it!

Happy Friday and happy July! Can you believe that it`s July? I feel like I am always saying this, but I have a hard time accepting how fast time goes, especially in the Summer! And in this Corona Virus and quarantine time, I feel like I am losing track of time even more than before.

I have to apologize for being absent these past two weeks, but they have been very busy with beach day trips, father`s day celebrations, fruit picking and, as always, me trying to survive the daily life with all the things to do and the activities to keep the kids entertained.
