Welcome back and happy Friday! I hope you had a nice week.
My kids went back to school last Monday and Aurora had a horse riding camp, so I spent my mornings by myself and it was glorious! I can`t say I got a lot of stuff done, because I had errands to do and appointments every day, but when I was home I was able to work a little and then tackle some projects that I couldn`t do when the kids were home. Being able to sit at my desk and not being interrupted a thousand times was kind of weird, but I enjoyed it!
Next week Aurora will be home and we will use the time together to do some school work and reading together, but we will also do some activities, like riding our bikes, making jewelry and art projects.
Since last week we talked about kids stuff that I found on Amazon, I thought that today we could go on and talk about what I got for our house from Amazon. I had some random pieces that I needed and Amazon always saves the day! Let`s get started!
TURKISH BEACH TOWEL ($ 17.40):
I bought this towel for the beach, because I think I saw it from this account on Instagram triedandtruemoms. I had been looking for thin towels for the beach for a while, I have some microfiber ones from Italy, but I wanted something more absorbent. I tried these just a couple times and I have to say that they work well: they are soft and absorbent and they are very thin, so they don`t take up much space in my beach bag!
GLASSES ($ 17.78, set of 4):
During these quarantine months I realized that I didn`t have enough glasses: at dinner each of us would drink from a different glass or cup and I didn`t like that. So I ordered 12 new glasses from Amazon and I love them! I can`t find the exact same that I got, but I found similar ones. The ones I got look very sturdy and durable, they are transparent and fit well in my dishwasher. (The ones that I had before were blue and green and after some time they discolored or had stains when they came out of the dishwasher).
MARSHMALLOW ROASTING STICKS ($ 23.99):
I just got these as a present for my husband`s birthday, because he recently bought a fire pit. I saw them and I thought that they were very cute and they looked easier to handle than the long wooden sticks that we were using. I will report back after we use them a couple times, hopefully they will work well.
ALBA BOTANICA SPRAY SUNSCREEN ($ 7.33):
This is very random, but I bought some different sunscreen lotions and sprays online for my husband and kids. I will not show you one spray cream that I got, because it is very sticky and it is very hard to spread and have it absorbed on the skin, my kids are all white after I apply that sunscreen on them. But I found this one and it looks perfect. The main reason why I got a spray sunscreen is the beach. I never buy spray sunscreens because I am afraid that they will not protect the kids from sunburn, but after a few trips at the beach this year I also realized that it is impossible to reapply sunscreen on my kids multiple times during the day, because after they come out of the ocean, they will lay on the beach and get all dirty with sand and after that of course they don`t want me to apply sunscreen on them because it scratches them with the sand. So I thought that instead of not reapplying the cream at all, I would get a spray one and try it! I still have to try this plan, but at least I found a good sunscreen!
REUSABLE SANDWICH BAGS ($ 14.99):
I just bought this set of reusable sandwich bags for the boys for when we eat out and want to bring something from home and for kindergarten in September. We already had some that we are using, but I needed more for the boys. I like these bags because you can use them, wash them and reuse them, so we don`t have to use plastic ziplock bags that get tossed away after one use. I use them especially for sandwiches because they have the perfect size, but also for small crackers, fruit, or small toys or crayons. These are very cute because they have a dinosaur design, but they come in many different colors and patterns.
