Good morning friends and happy Friday!
I hope you had a nice weekend last week and a nice week.
We did have a great weekend, we spent Saturday with friends, the kids swam in a pond and played a lot with water and we relaxed (as much as we could since we always had to keep an eye on the kids and the crazy games that they invented!). On Sunday we decided to go to Boston, we walked near the ocean and then went downtown and got a slushi from a food truck, the kids were very excited. The weather was beautiful, the kids did not complain too much and we had such a nice time! We came back home just in time before it started raining, but we were all very happy!
This week has been busy, Aurora was home with me, so on Monday we took a nice bike ride downtown and then read and did some homework in our town green, so nice! On the following days she had a dentist appointment and an hairdresser appointment (I finally was able to convince her to cut her hair and bangs, just because she is not very good in keeping her hair brushed and it gets tangled very easily. Hopefully she will get better!). I also took my little kitty to the vet because she was having some issues with her teeth. Luckily it is nothing too serious, but she will need her teeth to be cleaned and checked. It always amazes me how strong cats are, I did not even notice that she was not feeling well, until I checked her mouth and saw that she was missing a tooth!
Today I wanted to talk to you about some of my favorite beauty products that I have purchased recently and that I am loving, so here we go:
-Caudalie Beauty Elixir (Sephora or Amazon, small size $ 18.00):
I tried it for the first time and it was love! I have to say, the smell of the one I own is not my favorite, it smells a lot like herbs, but I think the product is amazing. I use it like a toner, but it is a spray, I feel like it is very hydrating and has a great cooling effect, so it is perfect to get a boost of energy in the morning!
-Caudalie vinosource serum (Amazon or Sephora, $ 49.00)
I got it together with the beauty elixir and the face cream in a set for a cheaper price and I love all the three products. This serum absorbs very quickly, which is great, so I don`t have to wait too long to apply the moisturizer and it smells great.
-Caudalie vinosource SOS intense hydration moisturizer (Amazon or Sephora $ 42.00):
Love this cream, even though it might be a little too rich to use during the day in Summer, at least for me. I use it at night after the beauty elixir and the serum and it is very hydrating. The smell is amazing and I think that the ingredients are pretty clean too.
-Origins drink up intensive overnight mask (Amazon or Sephora $ 22.98):
I love this mask too. It is very easy because it is overnight, which means that you apply it and forget about it, it does not have to be removed. It smells amazing and it makes my skin very soft. I also like it because it does not contain any parabens, phtalates, sulfates and bad ingredients!
-Sephora eye patches (Sephora $ 3.50):
I have to admit, I am not sure if these work or not, but I like using them and thinking that they will depuff my eyes! They are easy to apply and contain a lot of product that can be dabbed on the under eye area after the patch is removed.
-Supergoop bright eyed eye cream (Amazon, $ 36.00):
I have been using this undereye cream for a while now and I can say that I love it! I am trying to take better care of my skin, especially in Summer when it is very sunny, using a sunscreen on my face every day (which I will use in Winter too) and this eye cream, because the skin around our eyes is very thin, sensitive and it is the first one which will get damaged in the sun. This cream is tinted, which I did not know if I liked at first, but then I realized that once applied, the color doesn`t show and the cream gave great hydration and a little glow (but remember that I don`t like moisturizers hat give a glowy/dewy look, so the little glow that this cream gives is very subtle!).
