Kid friendly Winter activities in the Boston area

Good morning my friends and happy Friday!

Are you happy that we are getting close to the weekend? I am, even though we had a nice week: Aurora was home from school for Winter break, the boys went to preschool this week, so we had a chance to spend some time together: we ran some errands, we did some activities, but also stayed at home (I got my nails painted by Aurora, I even got glitter and stickers!!). Today Aurora will be skiing with her dad and a friend of hers, she was very excited: she started skiing at the end of December and she has been making great progress, but most important, she likes it a lot!

Last weekend was a long one because we were all home for President`s day on Monday, so we did some fun activities together and that made me think about today`s post, I want to talk to you about some kid friendly activities in the Boston area. I always feel like Winter is very tricky because first of all it is so cold, and then the days are shorter, so we need to do something in the morning or early afternoon.

Good morning my friends and happy Friday!

I hope you had a nice week and a happy Valentine`s day. I am actually writing this post on Valentine`s day and I will celebrate this evening with my kids. I got them some of the books I showed you last week, (if you didn`t read the post, I will link it here), a coloring book each for the boys and unicorn earbuds for Aurora. Tonight we will have pancakes for dinner because I promised Aurora that we would have them for breakfast, but I did not have enough time (or the ingredients) to make them. I am very excited and the kids are thrilled!!

Valentine`s favorite books and some old pictures

Good morning my friends and happy Friday!

How are you and how was your week? Ours was interesting, I don`t even know how to describe it, we started from the crazy heat wave that hit Massachusetts (not complaining here, I LOVED it!), to some good and bad news and finishing with one sick kid, who is at home with the stomach bug. This very nasty bug has been going around for a while at the daycare where my boys are (and also at Aurora`s school) and I knew it was just a matter of days or weeks before my kids would catch it. The time came on Wednesday night and of course I was home by myself. The nurse from the pediatrician office told me that it is very contagious, so I am just waiting before the other two (and maybe us) will catch it too. I am hoping that we will be spared, we will just have to wait and see unfortunately!

Aurora`s birthday party

Good morning friends, happy Friday and happy first day of February!

I hope you had a nice week and if not, don`t worry, it is Friday and everything will be better tomorrow!! This week was very busy for us, because our babysitter was not here to help us, so I realized how helpful she is! The house is a mess, I worked from home and tried to have everything clean before starting working, but it did not always happen, so I took little `cleaning breaks` every now and then! Luckily my husband wasn`t traveling this week, so he came home a little earlier than usual and helped especially with the boys while I cooked dinner. I have to say that I am impressed by the twins: they are playing a little by themselves now and they don`t constantly scream `mammaaa` every five minutes: it`s a big achievement! Even though they are the same age, they don`t play much together, first because they always, always, end up in a fight and second because they like different things, so yesterday while Leonardo was `cooking` some dinner for me, Alessandro was playing in my office and with Legos.
